With headquarters in Auckland, Coca-Cola directly employ around 1,000 people across NZ. They have 5 manufacturing plants across New Zealand.

Parent Company is The Coca-Cola Company, an American multinational corporation founded in 1892. In general, the Coca-Cola Company and its subsidiaries only produce syrup concentrate, as well as sourcing beverage base including coffee beans, tea leaf, juices, etc., which is then sold to various bottlers throughout the world who hold a local Coca-Cola franchise. Coca-Cola bottlers, who hold territorially exclusive contracts with the company, produce the finished product in packages from the concentrate and beverage base, in combination with filtered water and sweeteners. The bottlers then sell, distribute, and merchandise the Coca-Cola product to retail stores, vending machines, restaurants, and food service distributors. Outside the United States, these bottlers also control the fountain business. Source:

Woke Policies

Wokeness and virtue signalling distracts a company from its core business, which is to make a profit for shareholders while delivering excellent, affordable products and services to its customers. Businesses should not be distracted from this core purpose, otherwise there will be unnecessary costs which are ultimately passed onto consumers. Woke ideologies are typically unfriendly towards the traditional family unit.

Below are some woke policies and initiatives from Coca-Cola…

Gender Ideology & LGBTQ+

Rainbow Tick: “In 2014, we were the first FMCG business in New Zealand to achieve the Rainbow Tick. A certification showing our policies and practises welcomes and values diversity. Since then, we have been re-evaluated and re accredited every year.”

Gender Tick: “Along with a group of proud local companies, we are a foundation member of the Gender Tick and one of the first companies to be accredited.”

The Coca-Cola LGBTQ + Allies Inclusion Network fosters an equitable, inclusive and engaging work environment where LGBTQ + Allies employees are valued for their contributions to the business and are free to participate fully without fear of reprisal or discrimination of any kind.

“We have been recognised with the White Camelia Award in 2013 and 2017 by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.

We are committed to delivering equal opportunities for our people, which includes promoting equal pay and eliminating gender pay gaps.”

We believe that we have a long-standing responsibility to reduce the carbon footprint of our operations; to manage short and long-term risks and impacts climate change has on our business; and to partner with businesses, organizations and communities to make an even greater contribution to driving meaningful actions to create positive change. ”
